What can we tell you about us?
WeeeCharity humbly began in 2016 in a spare room in a church, run by Oasis Warrington. Since then WeeeCharity has expanded to have its own premises Employing 11 staff members, several full time volunteers and offering work placements to various colleges and organisations. At the beginning of 2017 we opened a retail shop and repair centre which was incorporated into our new premises.
WeeeCharityis a fully licensed, registered charity with the Environment Agency. WeeeCharity deal in the collection and donations of electrical and electronic items, that we reuse, recycle or resell back to the community.
Money made from this is donated back into the local community to fund future projects, events and fundraising, all to help relieve poverty.
We have links with Warrington Job Center and Warrington Voluntary Action that provide us with volunteers. These volunteers are usually unemployed or faced with a disability or hardship, and find it a struggle to get employment. WeeeCharity give them Sector Based Work Placements on 8 week contracts, to give them the skills and knowledge to give them the experience to gain paid employment. We also have links with Warrington Collegiate and provide work experience for their students.
We currently cover the whole of the mainland UK, using our own vehicles and drivers. We collect all manner of electronic and electrical items, with no minimum quantity.
Our aim is provide a simplistic way to collect and/or remove our clients electronic and electrical items, giving them peace of mind that their redundant equipment will go to good use. WeeeCharity currently have over 1000+ regular clients and are fast expanding.
